She paints a picture
Of the world that she will never know
She paints a portrait
Of the one that left her far behind
She leaves a note there
On the desk that says too much but somehow not enough
She thinks perfection
Thoughts escape her as she walks out the door
She lies down on the bed
Dreams attack her body lying there
She awakes in tact
Sound it out it all becomes so clear
She cries in silence
Tears won't fall down upon the ground
She looks up skyward
Questions fill her twisting churning head
She walks to the edge
And sees the truth then jumps but never falls
She pulls the trigger
Red oceans swell the tides tear at her bleeding heart
She awakes in a cloud
Angels fly by kissing her away
She falls back to the earth
But she can't see the pain that's lying there
She thinks she's dead again
But death alludes her suffering in the end
She thinks it's all a dream
But the portrait wakes her up again
